Carrying on the family tradition, with a $4,000 loan from his father and relentless determination, “Marty” founded R&D Heating and Cooling in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, in 1986. With one truck and two employees, Marty being one of them, R&D Heating and Cooling set out to provide lite commercial services with a heavy concentration in residential HVAC new construction and residential heating and cooling services. The company of two later grew to 54 employees, 25 crews of men, and 32 trucks in service. R&D Heating and Cooling specialized in residential new construction providing HVAC installation services to some of the largest residential developers and custom home builders within the greater Philadelphia area.
Since its foundation, R&D Heating and Cooling has expanded its operations well beyond its humble beginnings to now include Commercial HVACr Services, Residential HVAC New Construction Services, Customer Builder Services, Residential Service and Installation, Water Treatment Services, Generac Whole Home Generators, and most recently Electrical Services. To date, R&D Heating and Cooling has installed hundreds of thousands of residential and commercial HVAC systems and maintains thousands of preventative maintenance clients each year.
